The Chap “Surgery” – There are people who have to cut into people’s bodies every day. It’s their job, and it’s ultimately sort of mundane. They go inside of bodies, see things that may only be viewed one time by the naked eye, but it’s all very impersonal despite the terrifying intimacy of the activity. The Rosie Taylor Project “London Pleasures” – The song mostly feels comfortable and familiar, like walking through a place you know by heart. Well, not walking — it’s like some sort of sulky frolic. There’s an odd gravitational pull, and it drags you toward the ugliest, loneliest part of town. It’s overcast and everything looks like a mess, but there’s still a certain charm to it.
